Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 July 2026

Hikon Limited (“Hikon”, “we”, “us”) is a UK-based IT service management consultancy. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal data when you visit hikon.co.uk or contact us. We are the data controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

When you contact us or book an appointment, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email address, company and message. When you browse the site, and only with your consent, we collect analytics data about how the site is used (pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type).

How we use your data

We use contact details to respond to your enquiry and manage our business relationship with you (legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR, or steps prior to entering a contract, Article 6(1)(b)). We use analytics data, with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), to understand and improve how the website performs. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run our website and business: Webflow (website hosting), Google (analytics and tag management, where consented), Cloudflare (security and performance) and Microsoft 365 (email and document storage). Some providers process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are protected by UK adequacy decisions or the International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and client correspondence for as long as needed to manage the relationship and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it. Analytics data is retained in line with Google Analytics’ standard retention settings.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email info@hikon.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookie Policy

We use cookies and similar technologies in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Non-essential cookies are only set with your consent, and you can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Settings link (also in the footer).

Essential — required for the website to function and for remembering your consent choice (stored in your browser’s local storage). These cannot be switched off.

Functional — remember your preferences and settings. Off by default.

Analytics — Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) helps us understand how visitors use hikon.co.uk, using cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. Off by default; set only after you accept analytics cookies.

We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent again.
